Electronic medical books (e-books)
Kindle v.2 & Kindle DX
Are you tired of lugging heavy
reference books with you? Here's the solution - Amazon's electronic reader Kindle version 2! Kindle e-book reader is very small. It
is lighter and much thinner than a typical paperback. It is 1/3 inch thick and weighs only 10.2
ounces.
Kindle v. 2 was released in Feb 2009. Kindle DX with a larger screen will be available summer 2009, but you can preorder it now.
Kindle v.2 has an
electronic-paper display that provides a sharp, high-resolution
screen that looks and reads like real paper, even in bright sunlight. The E-Ink display supports 165 shades of gray. Kindle v.2 can hold over
1,500 books. Currently, over 275,000 titles (including over 14,000
medical books) are available for the Kindle. You can even publish your own books!
Kindle's wireless connectivity (paid by Amazon, free to you) enables you to
shop the Kindle store directly from your Kindle device from
anywhere. Books you buy are auto-delivered wirelessly in less than
one minute.

Additionally, watch a Kindle comparison slideshow on Macworld's website written by PC World author Melissa J. Perenson. It compares Kindle v.1 to Kindle v.2 feature by feature. Excellent review!
